This is superb, locally produced, beautifully presented and excellent value. Apparently the views over the loch are amazing, but horizontal rain put pay to our experiencing them. The lunch we were served however more than made up for the weather and we came away very satisfied and well sated. It may be miles from anywhere, but it's worth the drive.

The restaurant must have the best views in the UK. Looking out over Loch Glencoul and Loch Glendu, that simple, intimate hotel serves great seafood in comfortable surroundings. From May to September, depending on the weather, small boat cruises up the loch are available, viewing seals, birds and the UK’s highest waterfall. If you get the weather at the place, you woouldn’t want to leave.
