Nantyffin Cider Mill Inn is a place with a split personality, on one side a smart restaurant, created in a converted barn with wooden flooring, stone walls and table linen, on the other, a thoroughly olde worlde pub with wooden tables and fires. The same menu is served throughout but the restaurant is only open on Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday lunches, while the pub operates for six days a week, closed on a Mondays. They sell real ales from nearby breweries and a variety of ciders including local scrumpy, whilst the wine list is diverse. We ate here last Sunday and it was superb! We managed to get a table in the restaurant. We booked and requested we had a table near the mill. All the meat is sourced locally and when asked the staff could tell you where it was from. I had the lamb and my wife had the fish casserole, leave space for pudding though. The white chocolate cheesecake with strawberries soaked in port is worth feeling, absolutely stuffed for the rest of the day! We had a carafe of their wine of the month. Lovely Bordeaux, well worth the money and shall be back as soon as we can!

I have eaten there many times, the couple who run it very friendly and most helpful. It’s in a beautiful part of Wales and if anywhere near you should dine there and you will not be disappointed. Wish the couple every success for many more years.
