Restaurant at Newick Park Hotel Description
Newick is renowned for producing much of its own produce, a good deal of it organic. For what cannot be found on the estate the net may have to be cast a little wider. Thus thyme-roasted rump of lamb with garlic mash, sautéed local venison and roast pigeon, poached lobster salad and grilled halibut. Littler wonder there is a strong local following for this bastion of quality food. House wine is a very reasonable £9.75.

I have only eaten once here and I confess I didn't pay the bill. The setting is excellent especially in summer - sumptuous and rather old world. The food was excellent and I would recommend it for a special occasion if you can afford it.
