Restaurant at Nutfield Priory Description
Nutfield Priory was built in 1782 to represent the sumptuous Palace that was Westminster, and in the eyes of many it has succeeded. The cloisters restaurant houses an elegant stone-surrounded dining area, and let it be understood that none of this comes cheap. The cream of lettuce soup with a poached egg, crisp bacon lardons and croutons would make a somewhat different starter. To follow the poached fillet of roe deer with chervil mousse, served with a redcurrant and port wine sauce will cost you a breathtaking twenty six pounds - no wonder they employ words rather than figures. With prices such as these it seems unlikely that you will encounter the riffraff at Nutfield and there is no doubt that the quality is good.

Your Reviews of Restaurant at Nutfield Priory
Mrs T (5 February 2008)
It is always a delight to dine at Nutfield Priory. The maitre d' could not be more charming and helpful and has almost become part of the reason we go there. The food is always exceptional, the surroundings stunning and the attention to detail is impeccable - always fresh flowers around, and real fires alight. You can have a pre-dinner drink in the library, with book-lined shelves and ornate carvings and they offer champagne by the glass, which always starts the evening on the right note. The prices are not cheap, but you enjoy, in my opinion, a truly unique and exciting evening. I just never tire of looking at the architecture and wondering what amuse bouche we will be presented with. Even waiting for the petit-fours after dinner with coffee is fun, as someone has clearly spent time and effort thinking up new ones to make each time we visit. Bravo Nutfield Priory - it is the only place to go for a special night out. Food superior to a lot of other places.
Peter Unwin (10 May 2007)
Excellent venue, dedicated staff, superb wine, presentation excellent. Downside from start in the evening, disabled bays taken by two Aston Martin V8 cars not displaying disability blue badges, making it difficult to park on the 10th May.
Seems that as it was a Thursday, the corporate side of the venue, seemed to me leery and noisy, and the dress code even in modern times seemed to me lacking, drinking out of bottles and a person in football attire.
The food was for the price was excellent, but not as good as the Dining Room in Reigate.
What was annoying was that it was cold that evening, and there was no heating on. Saying all that, a good evening was achieved. Hope this will be of help.
