The Panama, one of Marin's best kept secrets, is an eclectic, colourful and artsy restaurant serving Californian and Mediterranean cuisine. Guests have an option to dine either in the main hall where a collection of teapots, old family photos and garage sale art create a happy clutter or the outdoor garden patio. The menu changes seasonally, using organic producers wherever possible.

Some of the chef's specialties such as ahi tuna ceviche with a hint of Serrano chile, organic 12oz burger on a la Brea bakery bun with guajillo aioli have stolen the hearts of many. Fire roasted poblano chile stuffed with quinoa, mushrooms and goat cheese are the other popular dishes. The wine list brings to the fore many small local small producers from Napa to the Central Coast.

Tuesday and Thursday nights features music and offers something for every generation, from swing to flamenco, jazz to contemporary.
