Restaurant at Pencraig Court Hotel Description
The views don't come much better than at Pencraig Court, but we are here to eat, and that comes very nicely too, thank you. Though the menu is primarily British there are some pretty flamboyant extras around, witness Dragon's fire curry and plenty of involvement of the local produce. The salmon comes from the Wye, which flows past the windows, or the Severn, local game is conspicuous by its presence, and the little touches such as the chutneys and pickles are mostly local.
With its challenging surroundings the hotel attracts hearty people with appetites to match. Wines to continue in that manner are on the list which includes both New and Old World, with house wine at £11.50.
