Pengethley Manor definitely has style, no matter whether you are getting married there, having a family celebration, escaping for a weekend or admiring their vineyard. The restaurant has a fistful of awards, which in their case does mean something.

Whilst the cuisine in English there is an undoubted hint of more worldwide influences. In the dining room all is calm and dignity, without being overpowering. There is no hurry here to catch up with more contemporary or less ordered ways of doing things and even the colours imbue a sense of timelessness.

Owners of a vineyard can be expected to have a certain feel for wine and the list reflects this to the point where you can not only forgive, but applaud them for including three of their own homegrown wines for the approval of their guests, with house wine at £13.95.
