Restaurant at Redesdale Arms, The Description
Dating back to 1650 the Redesdale Arms is a popular venue among guests seeking traditional delights fused with the quality of contemporary comfort. The hotel is also renowned for its culinary offerings, mixing a blend of exciting classic and modern international cuisine. Set in the heart of the North Cotswolds and footpaths it serves as a base for people who visit the region to enjoy the long walks.
Start with crispy Norfolk duck leg with barbeque dressing and toasted sesame seeds and smoked chicken and bacon salad with blueberry and pineapple. Move on to braised shank of minted Cornish lamb with pesto mash and rosemary gravy and Gloucestershire pork fillet on fondant potato with cider and prune jus. For dessert order chocolate roulade with Chantilly cream and red berry coulis and champagne and spring berry trifle.
Local ales and an interesting list of new world wines all add to the dining experience.

Well we both had a fantastic dining experience at this hotel-restaurant. We turned up on a Saturday evening in September and that too with no notice. We were directed to the lounge bar area of the hotel and informed that as we had not booked the restaurant and that as it was full, we could have the full menu served in the lounge bar. This was not a problem as we had just walked out of another venue because of service and hygiene issues. Any way we perused the menu and I settled for the roasted chicken dish and my wife went for the pork cutlet. We were not disappointed, my chicken had to be one of the most enjoyable meals I have ever eaten and I am an experienced chef, the dish my wife had was equally good and to finish the night, we went for a pudding. I had ice cream in a brandy snap basket and my wife had the sticky toffee pudding I think. Well the whole meal was simply fantastic, very flavoursome and extremely well presented and served promptly too. Thank you to all at the Redesdale Hotel for slipping us in at a very short notice and I would eat there again anytime. I very highly recommend it as a fine dinning experience.
