We visited this restaurant on a blustery Friday night in March. We received a very warm welcome and were taken into a cosy, stylish lounge with a fire blazing to study the menu and order our meal. The meal was served promptly, and the service exemplary. The choice on the menu covered many local specialities with seasonal favourites and the food was cooked and presented perfectly. The wine list was comprehensive, not too alarming and a good selection in the £20-30 range. It didn't feel as though we were eating in a hotel, more someone's home who happened to have exceptional staff and chef.
