A delightful Tudor Manor House in which good order and comfort are paramount. Try the roulade of salmon, salmon parfait rolled in smoked salmon and served with a sauce verte. For the adventurous, sweetbreads await, seared and wrapped in sage and Parma ham, presented on a honey-roasted apple, fava bean and redcurrant jus. For those who prefer their meat from the sea there is the papilotte of braised lobster. An accommodating wine list with house wine from £10.95.

We spent last weekend at Seckford Hall and did enjoy dinner in the main hall restaurant. The lobster was delicious and perfectly cooked; the wine tasted fine at a reasonable price and the service was first class. One of us had lamb, which was again delicious. We will certainly go there again for dinner. The afternoon tea and breakfast was not too good. The scones were not very fresh and the cake was a bit poor. For breakfast my eggs were not right and the toast and bacon had probably been drying out in a warmer. As there was a very big wedding happening, we wonder if the catering members of staff were a bit stretched.

I have stayed at Seckford Hall many times, and dined in their restaurant. Each time has been an absolute delight it is a haven of peace and tranquillity and the perfect setting for a wedding - I personally spent my honeymoon there, and was treated like royalty - excellent food and wines and The Seckford Room (complete with 4 poster bed) thoroughly recommended.
