Rich, historical allusions abound in the Shibden Mill Inn, a 17th century Yorkshire inn located next to the Red Beck, running along the bottom of the idyllic Shibden Valley. This beautiful inn has been sympathetically restored and tastefully decorated to ensure that there is a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the year. Guests can choose to eat in the cosy bar by the open log fire, outside on the stone flagged heated patio, or inside the romantic candlelit restaurant with its original oak beams.

Indulge in such tasty delights as the potted Morecombe bay shrimps with walnut dressing and melba toast for starters and move on to a seared sea bream with buttered linguini or a traditional grilled rib eye steak crusted with red wine, shallots and creamed spinach. A comforting egg custard tart with rhubarb compote and cinnamon ice cream rounds off the meal admirably. Their selection of ales and wines is excellent.
