Restaurant at Sign of the Angel Description
A 14th century house provides the setting for this charming little restaurant, all contained within the National Trust village of Lacock from which most signs of the 20th century, let alone the 21st have been massaged out. As one might expect the ingredients emerge mainly from local sources and have been prepared in a way of which even the Trust itself could be expected to approve.

The highlight of a delightfully sunny Tuesday in Lacock was our lunch at Sign of the Angel. We chose the fixed lunch beginning with a delicious Stilton and walnut pâté, served with just the right amount of crisp toast. This was followed by my pork medallions, which were complemented by a delicious sauce and tasty vegetables. My wife's choice of sea bass was also excellent. Great value in lovely surroundings and full of character - we can't wait to go back.

We have just had the great pleasure of spending a weekend at this delightful hotel. The accommodation was simply first class, the restaurant, where my husband celebrated his birthday was superb and the staff throughout were friendly and exceptionally helpful. We hope to return very soon.
