Restaurant at Thatched Cottage Description
Although much of the cuisine derives from the New Forest influence (and is heavily organic) there is also quite a pronounced eastern tendency in some of the dishes. So the definition of traditional must not be taken too literally. As well as inspiration the New Forest also supplies many of the ingredients. There is a distinguished wine list with good options below the £20 mark and house wines at £12.50 for white, £14 for red.

Martin Matysik runs the culinary team at the Thatched Cottage. He presents international renowned cuisine in the open-to-view kitchen, offering imaginative menus cooked to perfection, unsurpassed in quality and presentation together with professional, friendly, and relaxed service.
He only use the freshest quality produce, such as new Forest Wild Mushrooms, seasonal local game (pheasant, and venison) and the freshest wild fish and shellfish are featured on their extensive lunch and dinner menus.
He also has a wonderful collection of wines ranging from classic Bordeaux to the most scrumptious of New World wines, Sparking wines, Champagnes and Dessert wines.
I loved it so much I asked my girlfriend to marry me.
