For those wishing to escape, or not as the case may be, here is somewhere to head for, with stunning views across Loch Linnhe and many reminders of the Highlands within.
Four-course dinners are ordered by 6 pm, with about five options per course. As might be expected the seafood looms large, though enthusiasts for the local meat will not be disappointed either. Miss not the Lismore oysters. The wine list causes some sharp intakes of breath, and you can range - expensively - over a wide choice. Nor is there any relief in the French house wine at £22.
