Restaurant at The Bell Hotel Description

The Bell Hotel in Saxmundham dates back to the 17th century when it was a flourishing coaching inn and although it has been refurbished with modern comforts, some parts of the original building still remain as a homage to history and tradition. This family owned hotel is a friendly and relaxing place to stay at and their restaurant is popular amongst guests and locals.

The dining room is refreshing with its crisp green and white décor and is the ideal setting in which to enjoy delicious English and French classics that are turned out impeccably by the kitchen. Fresh local ingredients feature highly on the menus which offer delicious fare that is distinctive without being over elaborate. The wine cellar at the Bell Hotel has a good selection of Old and New World wines, some priced so reasonably that you might not believe your eyes while others are relatively higher but well within your reach.

Your Reviews of Restaurant at The Bell Hotel

Nigel (19 April 2008)

The staff are pleasant and they serve excellent food at a reasonable price. We know it is cooked to order because on both evenings we asked for dishes to be customised to our tastes and this was accommodated.

Mswan (12 August 2007)

We had the pleasure of dining there for our first wedding anniversary. Everything was top class, including the bill. Just £55 for the two of us which included a fantastic three course meal, great wine and a nice glass of port to finish things off. Hundred percent recommended! We look forward to return.
