I hate to say this is a pub. Sadly the chef has had a change in direction from the hearty, no nonsense food we had here this time last year. We were just two of only six people in the restaurant, and in the bar there were only a handful of people. A far cry from the busy, vibrant and atmospheric Friday night we experienced last time. It was nice to see that the standards in décor have remained, but sadly the service has lost its 'homely' touch. The room though was lovely, with the biggest bath I have ever seen.

Very nice. The best fish I've ever had. Great pint (although reluctantly served - maybe the barmaid doesn't like letting the beer go?!), very good value and great atmosphere.
