On 19th Sept last year my wife and I together with two friends took three German visitors to the Chequers for Sunday lunch. The food and drink was first class and our visitors were suitably impressed with the Bakehouse. Four of us will be returning for Sunday lunch on 3rd June to enjoy some good fare.

Wow what a pleasant surprise! This fabulous place has the charm of a village pub in the shadow of the Belvoir Castle with the bonus of a high quality restaurant with a classy decor tucked away in the back. The restaurant is not expensive with a very reasonable daily set menu. I will be returning again asap.
