Yes, the food here is consistently good, although overpriced. The restaurant is now non-smoking which is a good thing, but on busy evenings the smoke drifts through from the lounge and bar areas by mid-evening anyway, which is not so good.

I often use this pub/restaurant when I require an excellent meal served to visitors and business clients. The choice of fish dishes is very much to my liking and is a rarity in this area. Wines and beers are always very well kept and for my foreign clients it is a delight to be able to sample such a wide choice of real ales. My company Explore Britain regularly uses this venue.
