Restaurant at The George Hotel
High Street, Henfield, BN5 9DB
Calm and peace, quiet walks through the open fields, watching sheep graze by the river, listening to the birds chirping, a little adventure on bicycles and a hearty meal at the The George Hotel, what an idyllic way to spend a day or even a longer holiday! Try the seared halloumi cheese served with freshly roasted vegetables and salsa verde for starters, fishcakes with poached and smoked salmon served on a crisp salad with new potatoes and a lemon and dill butter dressing for the main course and do make room for the homemade desserts that appear on the blackboard. There's a good range of dishes to relish and a warm, cosy interior to cherish. The wine list provides a number of superb wines by the glass or bottle.Calm and peace, quiet walks through the open fields, watching sheep graze by the river, listening to the birds chirping, a little adventure on bicycles and a hearty meal at the The George Hotel, what an idyllic way to spend a day or even a longer holiday!

REVIEWS OF Restaurant at The George Hotel
I Love All Food (19 July 2010)
The George Inn in Henfield, is now at the very top of my list when it comes to dining out with the boyfriend and the family. In the past I had gone there a couple of times, whilst out on country walks, only to find that the food was not up to scratch, anyway having heard rave reviews from a friend who lives in the village, I thought what the hell and gave it another go and to my surprise, The George has now become a fine dining restaurant. The food is spectacular! And I am pleased to say, I will gladly be returning there time and again. The only thing I will say is if you're planning to eat there make sure that you book, especially for Friday or Saturday evenings, as it gets very busy now! Happy eating food fans.
Tel (13 June 2009)
The George has changed hands last year, it looks fantastic - the new owner refurbished it to a most exquisite, elegant taste with open log fires, a gorgeous polo bar and dining area along with the main Tudor restaurant. The staff are so welcoming and the rooms are beautiful - cleanliness is fantastic. The landlady has done wonders to the place. The food is excellent, great traditional dishes and handmade desserts. Their new website is worth a look - very professional. Thanks for a great evening with my family and friends.
