REVIEWS OF Restaurant at The Gibbon Bridge Hotel

John & Charlotte (9 November 2009)

We had the pleasure of using the Gibbon Bridge Hotel to hold our civil wedding reception and wedding breakfast in June this year using the hotels facilities on an exclusive use basis. The hotel has a truly fantastic settings with the backdrop of the Ribble Valley, we held the ceremony in the Garden Bandstand, set in the vast award wining gardens of the hotel and you can see why they are award wining. The service is attentive and the quality of everything was truly remarkable. Guests commented on how the setting and ambience had made our day perfect day and most of them said that it had been one of the best wedding receptions they had ever attended. Janet and her team had given us assistance all the way through the planning of our big day through to the day itself. Having the hotel on an exclusive use basis made it feel like we were in a home away from home environment celebrating our special day with close friends and family in a relaxed and informal manner. The Gibbon Bridge made our wedding feel like ‘a perfect day. Thanks to everyone at Gibbon Bridge, I'm sure that many of our family and friends will be back for many years to come.

Particular Refined Guest (6 February 2009)

We have just celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at the Gibbon Bridge. What an ultra perfect time everyone enjoyed. We decided to include an overnight stay for guests, which turned out to be an excellent idea. The hotel is most comfortable and beautifully furnished. The reception area and lounge have real log fires and relaxed sitting areas. The celebration dinner was held in the conservatory, food well presented, tables set with gold table cloths and lovely flower arrangements, after the meal we let our hair down enjoying music from the 60' Frank Sinatra etc. We came down to a lovely well cooked breakfast and the members of staff were helpful and not over friendly. Please do not be put off by reading some of the dreadful undeserved reviews of this unique fabulous country hotel. I have to add that both my wife and myself are very fussy and possibly over critical at times, but could not find any fault at all with this super luxury comfortable hotel.
