Restaurant at The Harbour Heights Hotel
Haven Road, Sandbanks, Poole, BH13 7LW
Built in the 1920's Habour Heights has been upgraded to a contemporary hotel of elegance and comfort, with stunning views across the estuary, and a mere two hours from London. The HarBar Brasserie in particular makes the most of the scenery, as well as providing a laid back and informal setting for some very fine cooking. Open up with a Cabernet Sauvignon vinegar double baked soufflé of baby spinach and West Country cheddar and chive butter sauce. Then perhaps a tornedo of wild salmon, with salad of Jersey potatoes, wild asparagus salad and a lemon ginger butter sauce. Pudding echoes the mildly Rhode Island flavour of the dining room décor if you follow the crisp nougatine Florida lime tart with a cassis sorbet route.Built in the 1920's Habour Heights has been upgraded to a contemporary hotel of elegance and comfort, with stunning views across the estuary, and a mere two hours from London. REVIEWS OF Restaurant at The Harbour Heights Hotel
Jane (1 April 2008)
The Harbour Heights Hotel was completely gutted and refurbished about three years ago and what a transformation! I think this is a stylish hotel with a restaurant and breathtaking views over Poole Harbour and Brownsea Island from an elevated position above the bay. The decor is very modern and the food is delicious but pricy. It would probably suit the appetite of a lady who lunches rather than a brawny chap who's been working out at the gym. I feel service needs to be organised - the focus is on getting out starters and mains and little attention is paid to a diners needs. Interestingly, this is one of the very few places that did a good job on a Christmas party, with fresh and edible food and good service.

I enjoyed a really memorable lunch celebrating my parent's diamond wedding. The food was very good and ambience and views from restaurant, superb. The staff and service were outstanding and they could not have been more helpful and attentive.

Don't expect identikit, pre-fab restaurant interiors which are usually a staple of the larger chains; each restaurant is tailored to its local surroundings and customers, offering up a unique restaurant experience to go with the equally unique taste of legendary, Portuguese, Peri-Peri chicken.
