Restaurant at The Manor Hotel

The Manor Hotel at Blakeney is perched right on the waterfront with superb views over the marshes out to Blakeney Point and the sea. An evening stroll in the walled garden is a good prelude to dinner in the pleasant dining room where a 3 course set dinner is offered at £17. The menu is familiar rather than imaginative with popular dishes such as chicken Caesar salad, a pasta bake of the local seafood and very good home made soup feature amongst the starters. The pattern is followed throughout the meal and main courses of roast prime rib of beef, roast Norfolk turkey and baked whole plaice make regular appearances, all well prepared and served with élan. An adequate wine list serves most tastes and prices all round are geared to a comfortable level to meet the needs of those looking for good accommodation in the middle of one of the beautiful areas of England without breaking the bank.
