Restaurant at The Piddle Inn

Beautiful hued flowers dot the sunny, white exterior of the Piddle Inn, in Dorchester, and the bubbly River Piddle that flows alongside the delightful beer patio adds to the allure of this attractive inn. Three well furnished and comfortable ensuite rooms look out over superbly scenic countryside while the restaurant serves a number of tantalising dishes that are prepared from fresh and locally sourced ingredients.

You could start with a warm salad of black pudding, chestnut and bacon on mixed leaves, and move on to lightly pan-fried duck breast, with a caramelised orange and whisky sauce, set on Dauphinoise potatoes. Puddings are delicious and the Bailey's cheesecake helps end the meal on a crunchy, silky smooth note. The little ones can enjoy battered chicken nuggets with chips and peas or baked bean and salad among other choices. The refreshment list is topped by wines, beers, lagers and ales, along with soft drinks and herbal teas.
