Restaurant at the Southdowns Country Hotel

Set in one of the most historic and unspoiled corners of England, this elegant country restaurant offers top of the range cuisine, with a fine wine list to accompany your chosen dish, freshly prepared by the popular chefs. The hotel, originally called Dumpford House, was bought by the current owners in 1983 and has been tastefully restored.

Chicken liver and cranberry parfait served with red onion chutney and warm toast is a good start, while the baked salmon fillet served with a lemon and chive sauce makes a memorable main course. To end your meal, order a strawberry and champagne roulade with fresh cream. Finally enjoy coffee near the big open log fire in the winter or wend your way towards the bar and you will find a very comfortable lounge which offers beautiful views of the peaceful South Downs.
