We had an excellent lunch 18 months ago but on return on a Thursday, oh dear. The stuffing has been knocked out of the place, cold, few visitors, those ghastly wooden plates, flaccid salad and chips to run 5 miles from. Frankly it was awful and for the price, the pub needs a radical change in attitude and performance if it continues to promote past glories.

We visited this place a couple of years ago when we first moved to the area. There were six of us including two small children. The food was good but not great but the main problem was that we felt a bit like we were sat in someone’s front room. It was just a strange set up the way the pub bit was separated from the dining area.
