Restaurant at The Talbot Description

500-year old country inn standing by the River Teme with its own brewery (Teme Valley Brewery). It is run by two sisters who offer an eclectic, ever-changing range of dishes, and nearly everything is made on the premises, using vegetables from the chemical free garden and meat reared on their own farm. Dishes may include saffron fish soup, pheasant casserole, marinated monkfish with Puy lentils, rabbit Marengo, venison with beetroot and pickled octopus.

This restaurant has to be amongst the best I have been to in a while. The food was excellent, the staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant and the whole place had a real friendly comfortable feel about it. There were four of us who dined there recently, and I have to say, our husbands are not the quietest of men, but in a nice friendly way I will add, and the staff joined in our merriment and gave us plenty of information regarding the menu. We will be going back!!!
