Restaurant at The Three Cocks Description

Another of those havens of comfort and louche style that seem to abound in central Wales, with log fires, Oriental rugs, and structural antiquity as obligatory props. The menu is not lengthy but it is packed full of local produce. Start with the salad of seared Scottish King scallops with a green herb dressing. Then either the fillet steak flambéed with cognac in a cream sauce with green peppercorns, or perhaps the fricassee of shelled Cornish lobster on noodles. Decent wine list with house wine at £8.95. Vegetarian meals are by request only.
