The dining room is at the rear of the lounge bar and its large bay windows overlook the garden, which is a comfortable summer dining location. Inside the restaurant, there are rows of hanging hooks still visible in the beams - these were originally used as the pub's smoke house. Their food is a la carte and homemade, with a British twist. The menu changes every day and regular dishes include chicken liver pate, steak and kidney pie and marinated lamb chops.
The patio brings an element of café culture to the village with continental style dining and socialising whilst watching the villagers pass by. Interesting choices are grilled swordfish steak with a tapenade of black olives, garlic, tomato and peppers and pot-roasted pheasant in a port and mushroom demi glaze. They have seasonal game dishes on the menu and there is a good wine list as well as beers, spirits and minerals to complement the food.
