Restaurant at The Town House

Arundel is a lovely Georgian town, by the tranquil River Arun, and offers unique sights like the second largest castle in England, which the Town House on the High Street overlooks.

The restaurant's dining room features a ceiling originally constructed and installed in Florence, Italy, in the late sixteenth century. The panels and designs were carved from walnut and then gilded to provide a beautiful example of late renaissance architecture. In the fifties, plaster copies were made to adorn the arch over the bar.

Chilled gazpacho with crispy croutons and seared foie gras with grape chutney and toasted ricotta bread provide a heady start to meal that has the likes of pan fried fillet of halibut, spring baby vegetables and chive velouté and roast rack of lamb, spinach, crispy potatoes, baby onions and carrots to follow. An iced honey parfait with fresh strawberries and lemon sorbet will fill in the chinks.
