An old friend treated us to a meal here and a good choice it proved to be. Thirty diners were serviced on a midweek evening by a single hyperactive waiter- goodness knows how he managed but very few were kept waiting for long. The food was excellent with bream, organic farmed pork, swordfish and chocolate fondant picked out for particular praise. Portions, as in the case of a scallop and a filo parcel, both starters, can be on the small side but are top quality. An Aussie Chardonnay/Colombard went down well with this, but, as is the case at most places nowadays, was basically a supermarket wine marked up 300%. It was, however, meticulously cooled and served. This atmospheric ultra-modern place was really buzzing on a Wednesday evening in a recession- it must be mega busy at weekends.

You get good food at a great price. We've eaten here many times, often for weekend lunches. The food is generally very good and the staff friendly. The seafood spaghetti is one of the best I have sampled. The roast is excellent and the beef is meltingly tender with well-treated vegetables and the parsnips very sweet. Lovely food at a great price.
