REVIEWS OF Restaurant at The Wellington Hotel
Mary D (8 July 2009)
Good quality food and great ambience along with an amazing view from the terrace overlooking the sea-bay at Ventnor. For a long time I thought that only hotel residents could eat there, but not so. The Wellington Restaurant is open to all, not just residents. The menu is inspirational, delicious and features fresh fish, seafood and local produce along with other seasonal meat dishes. Their homemade bread is to die for. Prices are not wildly expensive, around £12.00 - £15.00 for a main course. The bar is intimate and not pretentious with some fine wines. Expect very special and friendly attention and service from Carlos and his team - dedication and excellence are words they take seriously. It’s best to book especially in summer but don't let that put you off, I have gone in on spec several times. Highly recommended!
