Restaurant at The White Hart Hotel Description
Dorchester-on-Thames is well endowed with history and charm and the White Hart makes its contribution with the added attraction of good food in its excellent restaurant. The style is modern without neglecting the well-tried favourites. Parma ham beignets accompany a simple and delicious minestrone broth, a worthy introduction to the fillet of beef with chunky chips, wild mushrooms, roasted cherry tomatoes and horseradish butter. Top of the list for dessert could well be the iced honey and poppy seed parfait, with chocolate honeycomb and spiced syrup.

Although part of a hotel, the bar/pub/restaurant has bags of character. Small-ish, warm and cosy inside, it has stone floors and wood panelling at the back. A sympathetically period restored building it’s a great place with great food, good priced drinks and really friendly staff to boot!
This just happens to be one of our local hang outs (lucky us). Food is modern British/European we've never been disappointed. Although at the bottom of the busy Kington/Hampton Wick roundabout it’s always a popular watering hole attracting locals and visitors to its benches and parasols out at the front in the summer.
Good all rounder will please anyone from couples wanting a quiet night to drinks with friends, parents and even the children (also very child friendly).
