Restaurant at Wolfscastle Country Hotel

I stayed at this hotel in October 2007. The service was of an acceptable standard. The members of staff were exceptionally friendly and eager to please, whilst the food was really good. Moreover, the meal was well presented and the menu had sufficient choices to keep me content. Should my meanderings take me back to this beautiful part of the world, I would definitely eat there again. On the strength of my experience, I would definitely recommend it.

Having eaten at this restaurant before, about 18 months ago and was very happy with the standard of cuisine. I called at this restaurant on Sunday the 24th April just before driving to the ferry at Fishguard. I ordered a drink for my wife and I and eagerly waited for the roast pork dinners that we had ordered.

When it arrived the roast potatoes were not cooked and I had to return the meal to the kitchen because the potatoes were 'raw' inside. When the meal was returned to me I then discovered that the pork was not too good either. If it was not for the fact that I am diabetic and had to eat something I would not have eaten this meal at all. I mentioned to the co-owner about the state of the food that she presented but was not bothered and just hummed and nodded at any appropriate moment.

I strongly suggest that you give this restaurant a miss as the food is a disgrace. I here that McDonald's is even better than this! Please save your money and time and do not eat there.
