Situated in the pretty village of Hunmanby, the Wrangham House Hotel helps holiday makers get up-close-and-personal with nature with acres of secluded wooden gardens for a leisurely stroll, a tee off at the golf course or just bird watching nearby. The dining area is particularly impressive with dark wood furniture and log fires at winter.

The menu bears the hallmark of the season and local produces, so when in season go for the pheasant, partridge and venison, otherwise it could be a fillet steak, roast rack of lamb, grilled salmon steak or timbale of vegetables. This could be preceded by Filey crab thermidor, homemade chicken liver and brandy pâté or fresh fishcake served with crisp salad and sweet chilli sauce. Coulis - that much loved sauce seems to be the mainstay in the dessert menu, so expect to find it with raspberry pannacotta, lemon meringue, double baked vanilla cheesecake or white chocolate and raspberry torte.
