Restaurant at Wrangham House Hotel

Hunmanby, nr Filey, YO14 0NS

Situated in the pretty village of Hunmanby, the Wrangham House Hotel helps holiday makers get up-close-and-personal with nature with acres of secluded wooden gardens for a leisurely stroll, a tee off at the golf course or just bird watching nearby. The dining area is particularly impressive with dark wood furniture and log fires at winter. The menu bears the hallmark of the season and local produces, so when in season go for the pheasant, partridge and venison, otherwise it could be a fillet steak, roast rack of lamb, grilled salmon steak or timbale of vegetables. This could be preceded by Filey crab thermidor, homemade chicken liver and brandy pâté or fresh fishcake served with crisp salad and sweet chilli sauce.

REVIEWS OF Restaurant at Wrangham House Hotel

Wendy Murray (2 July 2008)

Fantastic, what a find. This place serves honest, local and very interesting food, very well presented and well cooked. The chef has got the right balance between delicate fish dishes and the more robust earthy game flavours, all complemented by fresh vegetables and a selection of more interesting potato dishes. Served in a beautiful Georgian hotel restaurant, definitely worth a visit
