I used to travel to Manchester regularly on business and have always made a point of booking a table at The Restaurant whenever I am in town. Cool ambience without being uncomfortably so, contemporary yet restrained design is obvious in your surroundings.

The hallmark of this establishment is balance, from the greeting at the door to the preparation of the food, the choices on the menu to the pricing, and staff attitude and competency.

I've not visited the restaurant for about 7 - 8 months now, if it's anything like as good as it was the last half dozen times I’ve been there, then I'll continue to frequent it and continue telling all my friends and family to do the same.

Do yourself a favour, turn up and try the risotto or asparagus and poached eggs - you won't need any further convincing after these starters to go on and try a couple more courses. Blindin!
