There's something restful about the snow covered mountains of Switzerland and if you're in Lucerne, also known as the City of Lights, there are plenty of things to do even if you're quite happy with just letting your gaze linger over Mount Pilatus in the distance. Salads, soups and pastas are also excellent alternatives and the much loved dessert at Luce, of chocolate orange mousse with crème de la Gruyère and fresh berries is a decadent and fitting end.
