Wanting a break from Lordship Lane, my husband and I decided to pay a visit to the previously unheard of The Restaurant. We could not have been happier with our experience - a charming and tasteful restaurant. The food was really tasty - recommend the mushroom risotto and the mutton curry. It was great to have somewhere with a warm and friendly atmosphere and good quality food. We will definitely be regular patrons.

The Restaurant in Nunhead is a real find – it is small and friendly and offers fine dining in this hidden corner of London. The layout is clean and contemporary and the service is very professional and attentive but not over bearing.

We had no problem finding delightful choices in the menu and last week we had truffle risotto, a shared starter, steak and vegetable gratin as mains and a divine chocolate pudding, water and wine all for under £60 total. The menu seems to change so it's well worth a return visit.
