The Tate Gallery Restaurant at Tate Britain, not to be confused with Tate Modern, is a restaurant that is as famous for its wine list as it is for its food. That's not to say that the food isn't good, dishes such as char-grilled baby squid with sweet chilli sauce or the deep-fried courgette flowers stuffed with ricotta, olives and pepper are both particularly good. However, the huge list of wines that are changed regularly like the menu, always proves a talking point, and some of their fine wines are on offer at amazingly reasonable prices, it's just sad that the restaurant isn't open in the evening as well as at lunchtime, though you can go there for afternoon tea.
