Rhodes South

Rhodes South is the latest offering from one of Britain's top chefs, Gary Rhodes, located in the magnificent grounds of the Christchurch Harbour Hotel in Dorset, with stunning views over Mudeford Quay. As UK's first carbon positive restaurant, it was built using sustainably sourced materials and offers delicious classic British cuisine with a notable French influence. Perched on the edge of the harbour with expansive views, Rhodes South makes a subtle, environmentally-friendly design statement and the timber structure with floor-to-ceiling glass windows blends with its natural environment, while maximising the sea views for guests.

The menu features fresh seafood and seasonal dishes created using as much local produce as possible and could bring starters of glazed lobster omelette thermidor followed by salt roast wild pigeon with white asparagus, lemon and cumin gravy. Sweet endings could include caramelised apple shortbread with honey ice cream and vanilla custard and the extensive, but carefully selected wine list complements the exquisite cuisine, with the restaurant's sommelier on hand to offer expert advice.
