Ringlestone Inn Description
This is a traditional English country pub with a unique atmosphere, built in 1533 it is a grade 2 listed building, retaining many original features including an inglenook fireplace, with a log fire and a rich abundance of oak beams and Tudor brickwork. Apparently there are also plenty of spooky ghost stories to entertain you.
They offer an a la carte menu prepared from fresh local produce. The menu includes traditional favourites such as beef Wellington and sausage and mustard mash, they are also well known for their famous Ringlestone pies; they also have a selection of vegetarian options and a children's menu with healthy choices.
They feature a large selection of over thirty English fruit wines with flavours from apple and apricot to sloe and strawberry, they also stock a selection of liqueurs with chocolate a firm favourite.
You can dine in the older pub areas, the restaurant or the extensive landscaped gardens, which also feature a waterfall and fish pond and children's play area with climbing frame.
Your Reviews of Ringlestone Inn
Eberg (30 April 2008)
The Ringlestone Inn is a perfect little venue in a picture postcard location but it fails to live up to it's initial promise. The presence of grubby cuddly toys behind the bar should be a give away. It was raining and we were hungry so we hoped for the best. Two soggy slices of pre-baked garlic baguette with mozzarella set the tone for a dreary meal. We both ordered the beef Wellington - pale pastry and pate smothered a fairly well cooked piece of fillet. The fondant potato tasted okay. It had been seven years since I ate there last. Back then I was served by a perky young waitress in black and white and though the food was unmemorable and overpriced the experience was improved by sparkly service in a beautiful environment. I feel things have gone down hill since then.

This is my new favourite pub. My husband and I have been all over the UK, staying at inns and seeking out old worldly country pubs, this one was the best, easily. The pub itself is the most well preserved one I've ever been to. It has a big open hearth with a real fire, candles, period furniture, welcoming proprietors, and well cooked food. It was fantastic and we will go back. It’s an hours drive from Southwest London. My husband and I used a 2005 guide to find this pub. Any changes occurring from change in ownership would have happened by now. I had never been here before but after reading others reviews, I do not know what some people are complaining about.
