Fantastic! I can't sing the praises of Hugh and his team enough. The canteen has a scruffy ‘recycled’ feel about it, appropriately enough, which was a nice change. The service was very good, very friendly, fast and efficient, but the real praises are reserved for the food. I have never had a meal as good anywhere. We had mackerel as a starter, which was great, but the steaks with cheddar mash were just awesome. The best steak ever, bar none. A good selection of local beers and wine went down well, especially the cider, and we left promising to go back as soon as possible. We'll certainly be there again, and the sooner the better.
