Busy and animated, the River Restaurant is where Auguste Escoffier first established the hotel's high standards of food and cuisine. His Peches Melba and Poularde Belle Helene, are still served today alongside Anton Edelmann's healthy Menu de Regime Naturel. Totally delightful! The service is charming, not unctuous. I like many, thought The Savoy would be ruined it isn't, it's restored, beautifully light - windows that open and look truly chic. The food was delicious and monk fish was cooked to perfection. We were served by people who made us feel welcome and we had chosen the £24 per head two-course menu. Thoroughly recommended and something to be proud of!
