Riverside Vegetaria Description
Kingston generally has a lack of really great restaurants, it is therefore all the more appreciated that the Riverside Vegetaria, recently voted Britain's best vegetarian restaurant, is in the area. Despite award winning food the restaurant's greatest appeal remains its riverside location where summer al fresco dining is no less than fabulous. The rest of the year however, you can dine in the comfort of their cosy if unimpressive interior. The menu is all vegetarian and also features vegan, wheat and gluten free choices too, whilst a blackboard lists the daily changing specials. Typical starters range from organic soups such as cauliflower and almond, or carrot and coriander, to good old garlic mushrooms or falafel. Main courses are priced around a reasonable £7 and include aubergine and spinach gratin, a crisp and delicious masala dosai, and tofu teriyaki, ensuring a good variety of flavours.

Wow! The food was truly great. Most of it was cooked from natural and organic ingredients - amazingly and uniquely spiced - and despite using purely vegetarian and vegan ingredients a lot of the guests could be non-vegetarians purely because the food was good, interesting and filling. A wide selection of organic, vegan wines, beers and ciders, different types of smoothies and cordials would help you enjoy an afternoon and evening - enjoying the stunning view onto the River Thames. Highly recommended!

If you love food, good food, good vegetarian food, you must visit Riverside Vegetaria. I want to take everyone I know. Every mouthful feels beneficial to your health, and every mouthful is delicious. This really is the best vegetarian restaurant I've been to. Thank you.
