Riverstation
The Grove, Bristol, BS1 4RB
This Bristol venue was once a police station, but now it has turned out to be one of the most stylish eating establishments in the area. Riverstation is located right on the river that lends a rather serene atmosphere, and the restaurant is spread over two levels with huge planar glass windows, so uninterrupted harbour views are guaranteed. When the weather gods are particularly happy, it?s time to move to the terrace to enjoy a drink or two. The one AA rosette restaurant focuses on fresh and seasonal produce and from the à la carte, you could choose pan-fried Scottish scallops or poached duck egg, sea kale, orange Hollandaise and tapenade soldiers before moving on to slow cooked lamb shoulder noisette with celeriac puree, gnocchi and salsa Verde. This Bristol venue was once a police station, but now it has turned out to be one of the most stylish eating establishments in the area. For pudding, the orange crème brûlée with biscotti does very well, and all this can be accompanied by a glass of fine wine or a pint of chilled beer.
Also keep an eye open for their set lunch, group or Sunday afternoon menus and their regularly changing offers.

REVIEWS OF Riverstation
Ginny (24 January 2010)
I took my family to Riverstation for my dad's 60th birthday and he said the food was so good he would remember it in another twenty years time! The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and there were generous portions. The service was the best I have ever received - attentive yet unobtrusive, accommodating to any request, very professional and friendly. We went on a Thursday night and it wasn't particularly busy or noisy. The range of freshly baked bread, which was offered throughout the first two courses, was delicious. I think this place is great value for money and I would definitely go again. They really delivered the goods on what was an important family occasion.

I treated my daughter and her best friend to lunch at the Riverstation for her birthday. We had no table reservation, but the staff attended to us most thoughtfully. I was pleased with the service and found the food well prepared and presented, besides being good value for money. The restaurant and conveniences were clean and well maintained.
