Robbies Description
Robbies is one of those restaurants that soon become your favourite dining destination and you find yourself going there for every special occasion, and sometimes if there isn't one! The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff are friendly, and the food is excellent, rounding off the entire experience enjoyably. Located on Warwick's historic Smith Street, this charming eatery is very particular about using locally sourced produce and changes their menu on a monthly basis to make sure that fresh and seasonal ingredients can be included.
The pan seared wood pigeon served on a peach and ginger compote makes a great starter, followed by main course of grilled pork chops served on black pudding and apple, creamed potatoes and glazed vegetables. For dessert, Robbie's pancake filled with English strawberries and vanilla ice cream is simply delicious and wine list which is classified according to country offers some exceedingly good choices of tipple.

Your Reviews of Robbies

I visited Robbies on Monday. I was alone and at first was hesitant to go in. I did, and what a wonderful surprise. The food was great and the staff warm and friendly. I asked for a house wine and was given a lovely wine that at £13.95 was worth at least half as much again. I ordered belly pork and was delighted and engaged with the staff on how it was cooked. I write this review because on checking this site I was shocked to see the previous report. I found Robbies to be excellent value for money.

I took my family to Robbies, having heard good things of it, and seeing an appealing menu online. Service was unflaggingly pleasant and courteous. The atmosphere was friendly. I’m sorry to be a party pooper, given the enthusiasm of my fellow reviewers, but the food was disappointing. I made it clear to the waiter that I had a medical problem which meant I couldn’t chew tough meat. He assured me the belly of pork was soft and tender, but had crackling. Perhaps foolishly, I ordered it. It arrived without crackling, yet remained extremely hard, and I could barely cut it. Was it worth over £150 for four of us? No, sorry.
