Rocket in Mayfair is part of a small chain of family-run restaurants that provide good quality food and drink in a friendly and welcoming environment while keeping prices as low as possible. The Mayfair outlet sits in a pedestrian-only courtyard between New Bond Street and Brook Street.

The ground floor bar serves lunch and evening snacks and you could spend entire afternoons there; the restaurant offers pizzas, salads and grills, and is a lovely place to meet friends for relaxing lunches or dinner.

You might not be able to keep yourself away from prosciutto with gorgonzola, pear and candied pecans or fried spicy squid with rocket. Choose from swordfish that appears on a warm roasted vegetable salad; corn-fed chicken stuffed with chestnut and herbs, pork steaks on a wasabi, edamame and potato mash, and an excellent beef and chip salad. Thirteen pizzas lend a pleasing Italian twist to the menu.

End proceedings with chocolate brownie and vanilla ice cream. The wine list is considered to offer some of the best value in the whole of London, especially for champagne.
