Hilton's first lifestyle hotel The Trafalgar is situated, yes you guessed it, right on London's famous Trafalgar Square. The Rockwell, the Trafalgar's bar, features black leather sofas, white lacquer tables and walnut polished floors, it has a sleek and understated new look. With the largest selection of bourbons outside the USA, the bar at Rockwell combines in-depth specialist knowledge of these with a range of other innovative and delicious cocktails.
Rockwell's extensive bar and restaurant menu holds a selection of light snacks such as mushroom risotto croquettes and skewered prawns with chilli, ginger and garlic. More substantial dishes include the Rockwell beef fillet burger with fried onions, dill pickles and French fries and homemade sole goujons, Jersey royals and Provence sour cream, which are available for both lunch and dinner.

Sadly, the bar on the roof did not live up to the reviews. The experience starts with a bouncer requiring a non refundable cash payment of £5 per person as a cover charge! The roof terrace was extremely small and was crammed with people. There was no place to put your drink down and they had run out of Pimms, which seemed to be the only cocktail on offer from their limited selection. It was very disappointing.
