My husband and I ate for the second time recently at Rogan’s and liked it even better than last time. We like the fact that it has found its own niche in between a bar and a restaurant. The downstairs bar had an excellent choice of nibbles to entertain us whilst making our choices. We found the menu to be well balanced, and although portion sizes are not huge, we felt we had eaten an enjoyable meal at the end of the night. The starters of hot and cold scallops were delightful and the chicken pressing with red pepper salsa was so tasty. The mains of slow cooked duck leg and hake were both in the L'Enclume style. The staff were all friendly and professional but not 'over-facing'. All in all an extremely enjoyable night - we will be back.

I've eaten at Rogan and Company on a number of occasions over recent months. It is always a pleasure - the food is exceptional. The special offer over the winter months where two people can enjoy two courses for £20 is fantastic value. Whilst portion sizes may be small, taste and presentation more than make up for this. A bottle of wine is also very reasonably priced - starting price is around £12-13. On my first visit, I was lucky enough to have Simon Rogan as chef! Service has been, at times, a little erratic - a sense of humour has helped and I have not allowed it to mar what was otherwise a fantastic meal. However, I believe this problem is being addressed as, during recent visits, there has been a noticeable improvement. I much prefer the relaxed and informal atmosphere of Rogan and Company.
