Room 4 Living Description

Mark Whittaker and Mathew Arnold met in 1993 when they were both at Brighton's Metropole Hotel and a friendship was formed. After working together for sometime the pair decided to go into business and took over Trenchers, a fine dining restaurant in Worthing, and set about creating an informal, relaxed and unpretentious image.
 
They had the right building for it, a quirky Georgian one, which was complemented with modern art adorning the walls and cherry wood furniture, making for a warm and welcoming environment. A menu, refreshingly modern in its approach, and lending itself to a quick lunch-time snack or a lavish evening meal, was created. 

You will find the likes of filo prawns with garlic and lemon mayonnaise among starters and the spread of mains might include whole tail breaded scampi served with chips, salad garnish and homemade tartar sauce. Puddings feature a trio for the undecided, a mini-selection of three individual desserts.

Great Sunday afternoon at a great restaurant. Food was very nice, good choice very difficult to choose. Staff were very pleasant and attentive, maybe even a little over polite. Decor very relaxing.
