Royal Exchange Grand Cafe & Bar Description

Situated in The Royal Exchange, a magnificent Grade I listed building in the heart of London's Square Mile, is the Grand Café and Bar. Above and all around is a series of wonderful stone-wall mezzanines housing two bars, a private dining room and Restaurant Sauterelle.

In the airy, original courtyard a chic oval bar serves a scintillating selection of crustaceans. The modern D&D London menus include breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Head Chef Oliver Prince brings his passion and enthusiasm of cooking with seasonal ingredients to create simple, tasty and well balanced dishes. Old café favourites are combined together with a selection of Prince's own, perhaps a chicken club, shellfish cocktail, a chilled gazpacho or eggs Benedict to name but a few.

Its location means the Grand Café attracts local business professionals, shoppers and tourists who use it as an atmospheric pit stop any time of the day. Every last Friday of the month the REX club on the Threadneedle mezzanine hosts one on one sessions with their mixologist Zoran Peric, while the resident DJ plays relaxing beats.
